Author · Researcher · Explorer
Gregory Peters is a researcher, practitioner and explorer of consciousness, specializing in the intersection of Eastern and Western esoteric traditions. With more than 35 years immersed in initiatic study and practice, his work explores the magical and energetic dimensions of human experience. He draws from Hermeticism, the Thelemic current, Dzogchen, and Tantra, alongside yoga, alchemy, and the visionary streams of mystical philosophy. Across all of it runs a single nondual thread — the recognition that consciousness is not produced by the world but is the ground in which the world appears.
Alongside his own books, he has worked as an editor and steward of these traditions, co-editing the collected writings of Phyllis Seckler — Soror Meral — in two volumes for Teitan Press, and co-authoring a study of the Shakta Tantra of the Uttarakaulas. He has held governing and transmissional roles within several Western and Eastern initiatic orders, and contributes scholarly papers and lectures across the field.
His research also delves into the ancient Goddess lineages that predate and underpin many spiritual systems, tracing their echoes from prehistory through the mystery schools of Egypt and Greece to the sacred landscapes of India and beyond.
Travel & place
A lifelong traveler, Peters has explored sacred sites across the world, from the labyrinthine ruins of forgotten cults to the esoteric landscapes of southern France, where history and mysticism intertwine. He has traced the wisdom of the mystery schools in Greece and Egypt, walked the temple paths of India and Nepal, and climbed through the Himalayas, following in the footsteps of sages and seekers.
His journeys have taken him deep into ancient forests, across sun-scorched deserts, and into the high mountain air, where the sacred reveals itself not in words, but in silence and presence. Yet beyond these storied places, he finds the deepest connection to the divine in the wild — the crisp air of the Himalayas, the hush of ancient groves, and the vast expanse of the night sky. For those willing to listen, these landscapes speak with a wisdom older than words.
Writing & research
In addition to his books with Original Falcon Press, Peters has edited several important works, written introductions, contributed articles, and regularly provides research papers for select projects, conferences, and initiatic circles.
